AL Jasari was set up in January 1st 2015 with the aim of publishing news and various information’s from Lakshadweep Islands. It was first started as a Blog (www.aljasari.blogspot.com) only for updating various Lakshadweep Knowledges like its History, Culture, Arts, Famous personalities, Book review, Short films, Folk songs, Articles etc. Later in 2018 gradually AL Jasari upgrades to a news website (www.aljasari.in). Currently we are doing printing services and online services apart from News distribution. For that, on August 17, 2020, an offline shop was started in Kiltan Island.

    The title "AL Jasari" has been derived from the Arabic word "Jazira" which means "Island", Jasari means "about island". The reason for choosing this name is that it is an initiative about Lakshadweep and things related to these islands. So, we named "AL Jasari" for this initiative.
